Bar Mitzvahs
Mike Love, an experienced DJ for a Bar Mitzvah and/or Bat Mitzvah
As I am sure you already know, your choice of entertainment is critical to the success of your child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah. While menu, decorations, theme, and location all play a key part in the party’s success. It is really the entertainment that pulls it all together. Your Master of Ceremonies and Disc Jockey team is responsible for more than just playing cd’s. The M.C. hosts the day’s events, which includes family introductions and traditional ceremonies. In addition, the M.C. and D.J. work together to create a fun and exciting atmosphere with appropriate music and inventive games. As you can see, without a talented, experienced entertainment team, your child’s big day can become a big nightmare. Why risk something going wrong on an important day like this?? Knowing what to look for when hiring entertainment can ensure your child’s party is everything you, and your family dreamed it would be.
As a professional M.C. and D.J., it upsets me to hear horror stories. Unfortunately, the reality is that every weekend children and their families are disappointed when their perfect day is ruined by bad entertainment. Therefore I would like to offer you some advice. Even if you don’t choose Mike Love Entertainment. I will feel more comfortable knowing I helped you avoid some of the pitfalls.
When hiring entertainment, here are some things you should expect:
1. They should understand the star of the day is your child. Beware of the D.J. who sings along to all the music, screams into the microphone, dresses up in costumes, and basically builds their entire show around themselves. They are missing the point. The center of attention and focus of the party should always be your child. A good M.C. spends time before the event learning about your child’s personality, so they can structure the show around the guest of honor
.
2. Your party should not be a carbon copy of every other Mitzvah your child has attended. Whether your child’s party is the first among their friends, or the last, they have the right to an original, inventive show. Your entertainment team should be able to provide any favorite games and contests your child desires, as well as a continually updated selection of new things to choose from.
.
3. You should know the experience, personality, and background of the person hosting your event. Many large companies impress you with the knowledge and experience of their front office, and then send an inexperienced, part time D.J. to your party. You pay this company over 2 thousand dollars for their services, while the person at your party is often paid as little as one hundred and fifty dollars. Think about it, would you pay for a Mercedes if you were getting a Yugo?
